HOW TO SUBMIT ARTICLES
There a few rules, easy ones, to follow
for getting your articles to the editor
for publication. So we'd like you to
go along with these rules if you can.
First of all, no handwritten articles
please. I have enough problems reading
my own writing without trying to
decipher someone else's. Typewritten
articles are acceptable if there is NO
other way you can do it. You see,
someone (probably me!) will have to
retype your article in the proper
format to make it usable for
publication.
Method of choice would be an Appleworks
file, or an Applewriter // file, or an
ASCII text file - any of those on disk.
If you're not into any of those, try
any word processor and I may be able to
translate from it - although I don't
have all of them. If there's any
question at all about the format you'd
like to use, please call me at 721-7745
and we'll work something out, I
promise. Please have the material in
40-column format, as not all members
have 80-column capability.
To get the disk to me, hand delivery at
a Chapter meeting would be one way to
do it, mail would be another. If
you're into modems at all, uploading
the disk to the TRANSFER section of
ACES BULLETIN BOARD SERVICE (command
"X") and into Log 50 would be a real
good way of transfer. If you are not
adept at uploading, this will be a
great way to get some experience at the
technique. Ask for on-screen HELP if
you get stuck. Again, call me if a
delivery problem arises.
We'd like to publish your pet
technique, article, software or
hardware hint, letter to the editor
etc. and etc. It can only be done if
you will type it out and get it to the
editor for inclusion in the next issue.
OK?
Happy writing!
